If you like golf / sports, this fun @claudeai build is for you ⛳️👇🏼⛳️ I’m in a 10 team golf fantasy league with my two buddies (@FactsRps & @StevenTuaty) where we pick 8 players in a snake draft for each of the 4 Majors + the Players. Winner is the team with the lowest cumulative score for the week. Kicker is you need at least 4/8 of your team to make the cut. Simple. So of course I went to Claude and built us a full scale sim model to help me pick our team. We were leading The Masters pool until the back 9 of Sunday. I find it really hard to bet Golf. So many factors. So I tried to simplify it. I pumped certain parameters into Claude, but weighted for Augusta in specific (for each tournament, it adjusts to the course specs). This was the most part of the build because I got to use my golf knowledge and spitball ideas with Claude. Here are some parameters we landed on: • Strokes Gained (Approach, Around The Green, Off The Tee, Putting etc) • Course History(!!) • Recent Form • Make Cut Probability • + many more The kicker is that all of this data is actually compiled by Claude researching the field itself. I don’t pull from APIs (DataGolf costs $$ and this is just for fun). I do pull win probability from @oddsapi_io since they have a free tier. The idea is for me and my buddies to compare two lists: 1. A Claude-derived “opinion” ranking list based on all the input factors 2. Claude’s standard pool ADP prediction calculated by public gambling odds + world rankling The value is the arbitrage between these two lists. The tool runs Monte Carlo simulations. 300 mock drafts x 80 tournament sims = 24,000 scenarios. With this, we get 10 recommended draft sets so we have targets in reach round, Claude’s % chance guess of winning the pool on based on those lineups, a list of sleepers and guys to avoid, and more. We had the first pick this week, and our team in order of draft spot was: 1. Scottie ✅ 2. Lowry ✅ 3. JT ✅ 4. Im ✅ 5. Burns ✅ 6. Bubba ❌ 7. Kim ❌ 8. Keefer ❌ Out of all 16 of the round-by-round targets Claude gave us (the positive arbitrage players attainable from our draft position) only 4 missed the cut, and the MCs were all 7/8 round targets. Ideal. In this kind of league, making the cut is a huge moat. In that list above, the first 5 rounds were chosen directly from the tool. The rest we had to scramble because our targets were gone. The most notable snipe this week was Burns, who we got in R5 and finished -9 T7 for the tournament. 🔥🔥 We had the lead going into the back 9 on Sunday and then Shane Lowry forgot how to play golf, and ended up in 2nd place for the week. Tough scene. My next step is to get Claude to give me a full player value rankings vs. ADP for the entire field (right now it’s just top 40). This hurt us in the later rounds. Overall, I’m super happy with the results and can’t wait for PGA next month to run this back. If you made it this far thanks for reading. How would you improve this?

Think it's kinda silly to think otherwise. Of course Rory had an advantage. She left public school because her grandparents paid for Chilton. They then also paid for her to go to Yale which opened up many more doors for her. Yes Rory worked hard, but obviously had an advantage.
