Stop trying to be right all the time. If you’re paying someone an employee, agency, contractor, consultant it’s because you believe they’re the best. If they say 2+2=6, then it’s 6. Say “I think it’s 4, but I trust you. Let’s do it your way.” Arguing wastes time. If you don’t trust they are the best, hire someone else.

Being a business owner sucks tbh. The bad shit that happens always falls on you. You rarely hear the good stuff, just the fires that get raised to you. The ongoing stress. $200k/mo+ of payroll and expenses, people relying on you to grow the business to both provide them salaries and give them a growth path towards larger salaries. A combination of you increasing expenses + a slow sales month will have you stressing about profitability. Always a feeling of uneasiness as things can go south at the snap of a finger. We just destroyed our monthly revenue record by over $100k. But I don't feel anything because I know it will come back and in a couple months we'll be in an opposite position. But at the same time, these reasons are why no one does it, people give up, and people stagnate. Plus, if you're a little crazy in the head it's kinda fun. Despite all this... I love it and will be doing this my whole life.

A lot of gurus on here laugh at my takes on the market, but get super defensive a few months later when I remind them of what they said. We all get things wrong, including and especially me. I’m sure I’ll be wrong about something very soon, and I’ll own it when that happens. But don’t make dedicated posts about me and then act like a victim when I “Hi” your post a few months later. If you can’t handle the heat, then get out of the kitchen!
