The hate from people against English people enjoying themselves watching their country win is so strange .. yet they praise other countries for their fans doing exactly the same things …. Very strange behaviour

@Utd4life1983 They still are. They all had a great time at the game. Loads of Americans supporting England as their second team. Only violence I’ve seen so far was a minor altercation between Argentina and Algerians.

@paul_alastair @chrisrich88 Saw Scots throwing traffic cones at statues, Argentinians fighting with Algerians, there are always pockets of trouble with big groups. But with England, the whole fan base gets accused 🤷🏼‍♀️

@chrisrich88 Other fans don't fight (see Dallas videos from last night) throw chairs and disrespect and abuse people. These are some reasons why lots and lots of countries want England to go home ASAP

My feed is full of everyone losing their heads over England today. I guess when we win a game it stirs up a lot of emotions. Still amazed how such a small country can have so much influence over so many.

@TheKuhnerReport It’s banter, it goes both ways between teams. Have heard some humorous retorts to that one. It’s competitive but friendly, but can see how it might seem jarring to people outside of European football culture.

This is why nobody can stand English soccer fans. Before the game, England's fans booed the national anthem of Croatia - a small nation that never did anything to the English. English fans even chanted "you're shit but your birds are fit" to Croatian fans. Low-class losers!

@joserra_espn Because the stadium was air conditioned and cool, they didn’t think the break was needed. It is really just for advertising, and breaks the momentum of the game for the players.

Why do England and Scotland each get their own teams international competitions? They have been part of the same nation-state since before the invention of association football.
