Do you even understand what cross-voting means? It essentially reflects a breach of loyalty to the party on whose mandate a person was elected. Unfortunately, there is no strong legal mechanism to act against such instances of disloyalty. It is high time that clearer and stricter provisions are introduced. Anyone elected on the ticket of one party should not be allowed to switch sides or vote in favour of another party during their elected tenure.
