I have thoughts… Jay-Z and Nas will forever be linked together because they’re both 90s NYC rap legends who are two of the greatest rappers ever and because they had one of the biggest battles ever. So, as RAPPERS they’re peers. That’s pretty much where the similarities end. Just in the last couple days alone you can tell the CLEAR difference between the two. Jay matters in a way that Nas simply doesn’t. Nas has a very loud fanbase on social media. He’s talked about on here like he’s bigger than what he actually is. But that never translates quite the same in real life. Meanwhile, Jay is public enemy number 1 on here, but in the real world, his impact is undeniable. As we just saw. On the capitalist issue, Jay is judged by a different set of rules. His peers can do/say whatever they want and no one cares. Jay doesn’t have that luxury. In times of need, he’s the only one they call on. Jay is EXPECTED to speak up, donate, help, care, etc. And more times than not, he comes through. No one has done more for hip-hop than Jay-Z. But he rarely gets any credit for it. These other guys have the luxury of operating with impunity. Nas especially. Even the business moves they make are completely different, but they’re talked about like they’re the same. The casino thing is a perfect example. Jay partnered up with SL Green and Caesars Entertainment to build a BRAND NEW casino in TIMES SQUARE. He had an actual ownership stake in that, had it gotten approved. All Nas did was jump on board as an ambassador to EXPAND a casino that had been open for over a decade in Queens. No ownership stake. That’s a HUGE difference. But you couldn’t tell because of the way they’re covered. Even the Mass Appeal thing, Nas was credited for being “hip-hop’s savior” all because he facilitated a way for legendary acts to release albums last year. But there was nothing groundbreaking about that, those artists could’ve released those albums on any independent company and gotten the exact same results. Jay has been putting people on since the mid 90s. His family tree is enormous. And not “putting on” already established acts, new artists, producers, athletes, writers, executives, etc. But Nas does deserve SOME credit. Over the last few years he has made great strides in his business ventures and philanthropic efforts. But what Nas just recently started doing, Jay has been doing since the 90s. They’re not in the same stratosphere when it comes to business, or in how much they MATTER to hip-hop and American culture as a whole.

Jay-Z is the only capitalist that gets hated on. when Nas makes the same moves it’s always viewed as some Black excellence/power move

The law and its enforcement will remain ineffective as long as you have millions of housing deficits with practically no state support towards home building. The state that looked the other way as landguards demanded 2000 blocks as digging fee can't regulate my building later.
FAYALORRRD@faya_lorrrd

Ghana has had a Rent Act since 1963. Six months maximum. It's been 63 years and your landlord is still demanding 2 years. The law and enforcement is a joke and every politician that stands at a podium talking about affordable housing is the biggest joke of all.

my politics is pro insulting politicians. it is the least amount of harm a politician can face for the violence they wrought on citizens. so this setting up civilians to be dragged and insulted for their harsh rebuke of politicians is something i will always pushback against

And this is why I think politicians are the most wicked people in Ghana. Because they have exposure to the most rural and underdeveloped parts. They know the true state of the country, yet they remain unbothered.
Carl Gallagher@yiniboma_

Our country is stupidly under developed. We need to stop sitting in Accra and Kumasi doing NPP/NDC politics. Go and see Ghana for yourself and I promise you’ll abandon political sentiments for nationalist ones. We can, we must an we need to do better!!!

What people don't know is that, Government shuts down Registrar General Department’s website name search tool to prevent people from knowing who owns companies the government has awarded sole source contracts to....... This is the party that claimed to be the saviour !!!
