Hey @AggroCrabGames We took Bing Bong to the summit of Mt. Inari in Kyoto today. We ran into some fellow PEAK players who were at the very top and got to give them a good laugh about taking Bing Bong to the PEAK.

Our hotel isn’t far from the @SmartdollLand store but we won’t be there on the days it’s available. 😭 We’ll have left for Kyoto on Tuesday and won’t be back through Tokyo until Saturday. I’ll just stare longingly in the window as I pass. 🤣❤️

Hey folks! I wanted to get your feedback on a new hat we’re working on. It’s a reversible design - on one side it looks like a beret, and when you turn it around it becomes a retro military-style cap. I’ve been field testing it for a while and personalized mine with a red star. However, I’ve seen quite a few comments from folks who aren’t keen on the star, so we’re planning to release the hat without it so you can customize it however you like. That said, I’m curious - are there any of you who would actually prefer a version with the red star? If so, which side would you want it on - the beret side, the military cap side, or both? We also experimented with blue and white stars on both the green and charcoal versions, but they didn’t seem to work visually. Let me know if you’d prefer the hat with or without the star, and if you have a good name for this reversible hat. #smartdoll

Hey folks! As we approach Christmas and the end of the year, I wanted to update you on our shipping and holiday schedule. If you want your order to arrive in time for Christmas Day prezzie opening, please place it by December 17. If this is your first order with us, please also reply to our follow-up email (sent by a human) by the morning of the 18th so we can ship on the same day. If you’re not aiming for Christmas delivery, our final shipping day of the year will be December 26. We send a confirmation email for all first-time orders because typos in the email or delivery addresses have caused lost packages in the past. It also lets us confirm that customers understand the courier will charge import taxes. Quite a few first-time customers weren’t aware of this and canceled before we shipped. Import duties need to be paid before or during delivery. We don’t know the exact amount in advance, but many of our US customers report around 85 USD to 110 USD for an order containing one doll. Duties are not included in the shipping fee. Japan doesn’t treat Christmas as a holiday, so couriers operate as usual until the 26th, which will be our last shipping day of the year. The website will enter Holiday Mode on the evening of the 26th. You’ll still be able to browse, but ordering will be paused so we don’t hold on to your money while we’re closed. Holiday Mode will lift around the 3rd, and shipping will resume on January 5. Up until the 26th of December, we will still be accepting bookings to visit Mirai Store. Electroplating didn't go well for the new guy G15 sculpt. Can you see what's wrong with it? This was just a test design to establish the positioning of his brows, etc. #smartdoll

Here’s another candidate for the new G11 sculpt. We’re planning to try one more version before deciding which one will make it into production first. The wig featured here is a prototype—a modified version of the Long Black Braid. Whether it makes it into production is still up in the air, as we’re currently wrestling with how to curl the ends inward consistently. Like most things in doll-making (or any production), creating a one-off is relatively straight forward—but ensuring that consistency across hundreds of units is where things get tricky. It involves a lot of hair pulling - which might explain why I’ve lost all my hair over the past 10 years ;-) Do you prefer this candidate or the one I posted the other day? We are scheduling milk characters starting with Mirai Anniversary, Melody, and Kanata. In addition, we are making a batch of G07 and G10 heads in milk. Which of the G07 characters would you like to see in Milk? Also, out of Never Gonna Give You Up and Take On Me - who would you like to see in milk? Or neither and would you prefer kits so that you can custom or hybrid with other brands instead? #smartdoll
