It was great to share my material perspectives on menstruation with the @MenstruationOrg today at #SMCR23 🔥 and not least to dig into my ethnographic material and show how menstrual materialities form new grounds for understanding periods and bodies 🩸 @dbm_samf @CCCsdu

I call it ‘confessional’ effects because I experience how a special space emerges when I present my area of research. Any @MenstruationOrg people experiencing this too, and who perhaps have done research into this? @SharraVostral @CRostvik @MsMenstruation

A @MenstruationOrg highlight to me was (no surprise) the material culture panel @MenstruationOrg with Harry Finley, @CRostvik @SharraVostral & @MsMenstruation 🩸 Here, Finley notes the ‘confessional’ effects of the Museum of Menstruation on visitors, saying it was the best thing.
