@Keir_Starmer What you are doing is the exact opposite of this, you are disincentivising work by transferring money from people that work to benefit scroungers.

@wotancore So you have no idea what the word 'objectively' means but you decided to put it in that sentence anyway?

@SlLENTPRINCESS He can just about pass from a certain angle in the right light as long as he doesn't speak. That's not really something a film maker can work with. Maybe he'd make a good Link though

@TheAliceSmith Of course it will. Britain isn't quite ready for an islamic party but do you think the 'gaza independents' aren't basically a party just waiting for the right time to officially become one?

As British Muslims move from Labour to Green, I wonder if their next and final step will be a party of their own.

@HelenWebberley A functioning human being doesn't actually have to be an expert in every single field in order to have opinions. I'm sure you have opinions on things like nuclear power, urban planning, foreign policy, the military and a plethora of other things that you have zero training in.

I still find it insane how people with zero medical training have such strong opinions on trans healthcare

@AcademicAgent_X David Braben would be an obvious one. Not only did he create the Elite franchise but pretty much the entire space exploration/trading/combat genre.

Been thinking about a "Game Designer" Mount Rushmore. Miyamoto and Sid Meier are both locks, but the other two spots are interesting to think about. I feel like these are in contention: Todd Howard (Elderscrolls, Fallout) Will Wright (Sim City, Sims) John Carmack (Doom, Quake) Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls, Elden Ring) Gabe Newell (Half-Life, Portal) Ron Gilbert (Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion)

@HazelAppleyard I wouldn't even be opposed to offering a portion of what it would have cost to keep the criminal in prison here to their home country as an incentive to take them back. Subject to random visits by embassy staff of course just to make sure they are actually being kept in prison.

@saggybrian How many people apply for any given vacancy at McDonalds? They hire more youngsters because they can pay them less, that does not mean there isn't sufficient numbers of older people applying for the vacancies.

@Slightly_Magic I actually don't think u21s should earn the same as over 21s because in life you need to suffer at the start. But the fact Remains you're missing the point mainly young people apply for these places. McDonald's isn't going out picking them of the street

The Mail doesn't think seem to think workers, of all ages, are worth £15 an hour. That's fair pay for a fair day's work, with money workers will put back into the economy. We are the party for workers. Vote Green on 7th May.

@saggybrian Good grief, they will obviously hire younger people if they can pay them less. If you remove the age difference for minimum wage there is no incentive to hire young inexperienced staff and if the older workers want more shifts then great, that means you can hire even less people.

@Slightly_Magic They can't because 60 percent of the workforce is u21 and older people would want more as in better shifts etc. you can't magically get older people to work for you. Or guess what they would all ready. You don't understand percentages

@saggybrian Your not taking away 60 percent of the workforce though, you're just encouraging the employer to favour older applicants over the younger ones.

@Sargon_of_Akkad It's a bad word precisely because it isn't a bad word. The left don't want a certain group of foreigners to be referred to by a positive term because that challenges their belief that all foreigners are inferior and therefore opressed.

@ZackPolanski So you want the big corporations that can afford to automate to get rid of unskilled jobs completely, and make sure that small companies can't afford to employ anyone and have to close down. Seems you have it all planned out.

it means the person that posted it, just realised they're dealing with someone who is pretending to be something they're not, or be an expert on a subject they're clueless about. Like speaking to a woman who insists she's a huge metal fan, but cant name her favourite Megadeth/Metallica album.
