I know the rules. The rules say Bairstow is out. But Bairstow wasn’t cheating to gain an advantage. He wasn’t batting out of his crease. He let the ball go. He then planted his back foot behind the crease. He was finished with that play. He wasn’t heading for a run. I just think it’s a cheap shot. I couldn’t take the wicket. Just my opinion.

@melbournefc I’m in full support of the AFL players association calling a stop work meeting this weekend. They have a right to stand up for themselves and ask the AFL what was the player supposed to do in this situation. It is beyond a joke and I am losing interest in the sport.

@Tedthekelpie Add heaps of water. Oats probably bridging and not flowing well. JD1910 does this. Make them wet and they will run out

As so many of you have been in touch to ask. Clear communication and warning to the player to get on with it. A fair and strong refereeing call my Raynal I feel. Learning here is not for the referee, but the players to get on with it when ref asks.
