The 2026 NFL regular season will kick off Wednesday Sept. 9 at 8:20 p.m. ET in Seattle with the Super Bowl LX champion Seahawks. The San Francisco 49ers will face the Los Angeles Rams in the first-ever NFL regular season game in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday, Sept. 10 at approximately 8:35 p.m. ET at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

@ND_Domerfan I don't like the idea of it in the middle of the season, I think it creates more issues for the players. If player health was taken out then yeah it would be pretty sick.

@ChuckFBass For the first week of the season, this is ok to me. I really don't like it when they do it for Christmas and what they're trying to do with Thanksgiving Eve though.

@randomdude476 Fr. It will be 1 Super Bowl and maybe 1 Final Four for the majority of these planned indoor stadiums. Year round concerts are the only thing that will reslly make any sort of money for these stadiums.

The site for Super Bowl LXIII is now set to be voted on at next week’s NFL owners meetings, and it is now expected to return to Las Vegas. It’s a “matter of formality,” one source said.
