One autonomous vehicle blocked a fire truck. Another recognized the emergency vehicle from a distance and yielded before it became a problem. The gap between “can drive” and “understands what’s happening around it” is bigger than most people realize.🚒👀 @Tesla_AI

FSD encountered an interesting emergency-vehicle edge case today. A fire truck was exiting its station without lights or sirens activated. Watch closely as Tesla FSD: • Slows down abruptly • Briefly moves toward the adjacent right lane • Does not signal the lane movement • Triggers a driver intervention The movement only lasted a moment, but it was enough for me to press the accelerator and disengage so I could submit a voice report. I’m genuinely curious what the neural network detected here. Was FSD being appropriately cautious around an emergency vehicle, or was this an overreaction? What would you have done?
