@DanHarmone Ok I’d love your perspective of Unalaq. Like he’s definitely got the scheming younger brother but also what he did to Korra was utterly brutal. He was family, she was supposed to be able to trust him. I have seen people compare what he did to groooming/SA and he tried isolation

Ehh..calling the execution bad is a stretch. Amon and Zaheer are literally some of the most thematically consistent villains in Avatar. Amon represents systemic inequality and uses fear + ideology to mobilize people, and his reveal ties directly into the hypocrisy of his movement. Zaheer is one of the few villains whose philosophy is actually explored through action, he doesn’t just talk about freedom, he destabilizes entire power structures and even achieves flight through detachment. What people call ‘bad execution’ is usually just ‘I wanted them to last longer or win.’ But their endings are consistent with their arcs. Amon’s movement collapses once his truth is exposed because it was built on deception. Zaheer’s ideology literally leads to chaos and Korra’s trauma, which the show doesn’t brush off, it carries into the next season.

@racerkuvira They never had good old days, not really. I would have really liked them to have broken the cycle but Tarrlok knew they were too broken.

@azulasmind Zuko managed to get out and break the cycle and undo the damage done, but Azula went insane and was never able to truly break free of the trauma she endured and she’s so stuck in it that she doesn’t realize she’s been abused and traumatized

@azulasmind Except Noatak tried to get Tarrlok to come along the first time and he didn’t leave him the second time. Azula would have straight up left Zuko behind. And both Noatak and Tarrlok were severely broken by what the endured and Tarrlok knew they couldn’t continue on

They closed down one road in our small town everyone used, not a ton of traffic and now we can’t go down that road anymore and it was a main street road more or less that went off into the woods a bit but it was a nice road! Forget the highways 2

@beyoncegarden Look, I am against abortion except in four cases: Rape, incest, medically dangerous for the mother or child, or the child is not going to survive after birth. Now we can’t get abortions at all and it’s a felony in some states to even leave for one. Reason we aren’t having them.

@beyoncegarden Some people do have the mental strength and power to go through with the birth and raise that child, but some people just cannot mentally handle it. They are a clump of cells until they take a breath. What if it’s a child of incest? When did we mean less than a crime?

@beyoncegarden Pro life is never about the mother in this situation. Phrase it this way, a 14 year old girl is raped and winds up pregnant. She’s just a baby herself, should she have to go through the trauma of her body changing and then the pain of forcing that child out of her??
