Here is a patriotic 250 sentiment. The USA is wonderful because it has various, distinct cultural centers spread across a continent - all worth knowing. NYC/Boston/Philadelphia are a thing. Down south you’ve got Richmond, Charleston. Chicago is a center - and Madison isn’t a far drive (and northern Wisconsin is a giant forest that is amazing). Out West you’ve got San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle all along a drive. Every one of those west coast cities has its own vibe, plenty of restaurants that use local ingredients etc. There is so much more I’m not talking about. This thing is worth holding onto. You’ve got to keep English, prevent immigration from getting out of hand. There is a unity in diversity here that doesn’t have a parallel in smaller nation states. Maybe you could compare it to Germany or Italy - both countries cobbled together in the 1860-70 period - from various independent states. That means in those countries you don’t exactly have a London or a Paris - cultural life is more spread out. But the USA is still unique.
