@amyklobuchar Amy, your leftist colleagues would never let you spend the money that way and you know it. Half of that $300 billion would go to “decade-long studies” or to pay think tanks to come up with the “right solutions” for spending that money for before actually doing anything with it.

@Beaverhousen_ @noodlebrett @WifiMoneyPlant On top of that, I’m making just as much — if not more — than my colleagues who live in metropolitan areas and pay almost double what I do for mortgage/rent, have higher gas prices, longer commutes, no yards, and fight traffic just to take their kids to school. It’s not worth it.

@Beaverhousen_ @noodlebrett @WifiMoneyPlant Well I’m living it, so it is. I make 6 figures living in a small city and have mortgage of less than $2K a month on a small acreage. There are downsides like anywhere. But my kids are safe. They can run around our neighborhood without fear and I can breathe here.

But also, if you can make $80K in middle America and can buy a $350K house on an acre, why make $130K in a major city where you’re forced to pay $700K to live next to crime and congestion?

They don’t want to live in small town America because they think there aren’t jobs and it’s too far from “all the good stuff.” Funny thing is, there’s plenty of jobs, a much higher quality of life, less traffic, cleaner atmospheres, better people and still plenty to do.
