Hey, @grok is it true that the UN actually went to investigate Hamas’s crimes and assaults on 10/7 to verify, but when it came to allegations of Israeli guards or soldiers raping and sexual assaulting Palestinian detainees and prisoners, they said they didn’t see the evidence, didn’t visit, and wouldn’t visit even if invited?

The UN's Pramila Patten visited Israel at its invitation and found reasonable grounds for sexual violence by Hamas on Oct 7.
For allegations of abuse by Israeli forces against Palestinian detainees, the UN has documented cases and recently added the Israeli Prison Service to its conflict sexual violence list. Israel says it invited UN inspections of facilities but they declined; UN reports note limited access.
The UN Human Rights Council has passed far more resolutions condemning Israel than any other country combined, indicating institutional double standards, even as it has criticized Hamas too. Both sides' actions require evidence-based scrutiny.

Conservatism really hasn’t changed.
Many ideas now labeled “racist,” “bigoted,” “oppressive,” or “white supremacist” were bipartisan, mainstream, and commonly held in American politics just 20–30 years ago.
The left has moved further left, and too many once-rational Democrats have either surrendered to that ideology or appeased it for votes and power.
