I think there's something very important that a lot of Twitter devs need to understand. I like to explore languages. I think it's fun to see problems from new angles. To try to imagine what the future could be like. See if the language is great at solving specific set of problems. My enthusiasm for what I do is because I love programming. It's not because I think there's one singular way to do anything. I really enjoy go. I really think zig is amazing. Jai just seems like it could be game changing for certain sets of activities. Please do not mistake my enthusiasm for the silver bullet. Whatever you program and whatever language you choose, there will be difficulty, misfit solutions, shortcuts taken, wins celebrated. Don't confuse the means with the end. Lastly, do not put me on a pedestal. I am just like you. Just another guy trying to make the most of the life handed to me.

@Ris1844860 @sama @AskRobinhood This had nothing to do with their credit cards. Just reaching support at all. For another issue entirely regarding the inability to move my funds held in cash.

Are they new companies though? I would expect Robinhood to have better customer service in 6-12 months, if they don’t, then that’s their bad. But I think they just started rolling this thing out with the credit cards, so I would expect the service to be fucked up for a few months at least as they deal with the surge and figure out how to fix all their mistakes.

a few months ago robinhood sent me a gold credit card with extremely high-quality details. i thought it was a ridiculous marketing stunt at the time but now it’s an example i give when talking about great design.

@TheNullChannel @sama @AskRobinhood Totally agree with you!! I got the same awful experience from Robinhood customer service nobody care at all!! If Robinhood don’t care their serious customers but only good for speculators, no surprise they will fail miserably!!!!

@Ris1844860 @sama @AskRobinhood I tested all my other banking institutions. All of them got me someone on the phone within 20 minutes. Most within 5 minutes. Others have figured out how.

@TheNullChannel @sama @AskRobinhood This doesn’t really surprise me. I imagine that even with infinite funds, it would just take conserted effort, time, and many mistakes to implement phone customer service at scale.

@jimbotron915465 @sama @AskRobinhood Yeah. I'm not rich... but my other banks answered the phone with only a few minutes on hold. Not 5 days. I don't need personal concierge services. I'm a nobody. Robinhood cost me a great deal of money with not support.

@TheNullChannel @sama @AskRobinhood Actual rich people have credit cards with "personal concierge service". Only nouveau riche fall for gold-plated credit card bullshit. I guess you can be a millionaire and still be hood rich...

@AskRobinhood The problem. I messaged you, and I used your in-app system for support, and it took you 5 days to respond. I needed your help five days ago. Not now. I had a lot of money with you. Over the next few weeks, @CharlesSchwab will. They answered the phone. I don't need your help now.

Quick update. Another day and still no customer support. My other two banks were able to get me talking with a real person within 5 minutes of calling. By the time customer support @RobinhoodApp contacts me, I will have transferred out hundreds of thousands of dollars 50k a day.

@AskRobinhood you have failed. I have been on "hold" for 4 days now. I will NOT be closing on my house because of you, and you failed to give me any support at all. I have a very sizable account and will never use your services again if this is SOP.

I'm seriously considering getting the new Mac Mini + portable monitor instead of a MacBook Pro... Most of the time, I work out of my home office. Once a week I work elsewhere, but at a desk (and already bring keyboard + mouse + iPad for sidecar). 👍 or 👎?

It's been almost 1 year to the day that I personally pivoted to AI. I'm depressed I haven't accomplished more even though I still see so much potential.

@sidpalas Only in really really large deployments. If you are busting out aaaaaaaaaachooooo or even aaaaaaaaaaachoooo you have a pretty big deployment!

When writing infrastructure as code, do you modify resource names to make them human readable, or keep the autogenerated random names generates by [terraform|pulumi|crossplane|etc…] to avoid naming collisions? 🤔

@rawkode @ibuildthecloud I found suspend on arch!!!! 'Sudo shutdown now'! My computer suspends work and then I can resume working on it later!

I'm pretty close to going full @ibuildthecloud and adopting Windows and Office 365 to actually have a computer that works
