The video brings back memories of my days in the forest. After I was sold to another group of b@nd!ts, fighter jets would come to attack them. Sometimes they came three or four times a week. Honestly, the sound alone was enough to shake a person. It felt like it could take someone’s life. Whenever the jets arrived, the b@nd!ts would run and hide, leaving us locked up in chains and handcuffs, unable to move anywhere. They used to call it “Girigi” in Hausa. The jets would operate for hours, coming and going, shooting heavily into the forest. By God’s grace, they never fired in our direction. After each attack, when the jets left, the b@nd!ts would slowly come out from their hiding places again. There was also a day a helicopter came. It circled the forest for hours, just surveying without shooting, then eventually left. This happened for almost two days. Whenever the jets came, all we could do was pray, begging God not to let any stray fire reach us. Omo... what I saw in that forest… it was not child’s play at all. 😭💔 I’m grateful to God that I survived. 🙏🏽🥹
