The people in charge don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity. Today's Morning Note newsletter covers Masoud Pezeshkian's condemnation of Trump's “desecration of Jesus,” the Iran War's gutting effects on America's housing market, Colombia's plan to murder Pablo Escobar's hippopotami, and more. Thank you, @realDonaldTrump! It has been an amazing honor to work beside you the past six months as we try to save America. It is me who will never let YOU down!

In the last two months, China has undertaken significant dredging operations at Antelope Reef, a submerged coral formation in the disputed #ParacelIslands. Located approximately 360km east of Da Nang, Vietnam, and 290km southeast of China's Sanya Naval Base on Hainan Island, ownership of the reef is contested by #China (where it is known as Linyang Jiao), Vietnam (where it is known as Da Hai Sam), and Taiwan. Since mid-October 2025, Chinese dredgers have cut a channel into the lagoon and undertaken massive land reclamation works. SynMax's maritime domain awareness platform, Theia, has recorded 621 optical vessel detections in the vicinity of the reef, and AIS data shows at least 42 unique vessels, including China Coast Guard vessels, and a significant presence from the Chinese Maritime Militia. China has maintained control of the Paracel Islands since seizing them from South Vietnam in 1974. Despite a 2016 international arbitration tribunal ruling that China's expansive maritime claims have no legal basis under international law - a decision Beijing rejected - the construction of #artificialislands continues, causing significant damage to marine ecosystems while extending China's surveillance and military reach across the #SouthChinaSea. Theia's proprietary AI automatically analyzes more than 30 million km² of #satelliteimagery daily, fusing electro-optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery with global AIS data to detect, identify, and track vessels regardless of AIS output. By establishing patterns of life and monitoring contested waters, Theia provides early warning of significant developments and enables the efficient deployment of maritime assets to where they are needed most. Our thanks to @Satellogic and @planet for their imagery contributions to this analysis. #AntelopeReef #WhyGuessWhenYouCanKnow
