@Dreadknux I mean, Rumble being delayed for as long as it did and essentially being a Fall Guys clone which had fallen off way before Rumbles release is telling. This is a reason that you shouldn’t chase success stories, especially with niche IP.

@ThatThereTim @MarathonTheGame Judging by my circle of D2 players. Because the D2 content is so dry, some are simply just jumping ship. This is especially prevelent as D2 has no sub fee, and the apparent decline in the games narrative.

Everyone in #gamedev is watching @MarathonTheGame's numbers over this weekend. You certainly can grow live service numbers over time, but week 1 numbers indicate unit sales, initial ROI, and whether the immediate income can support the current dev team. It also sets audience expectations - "is the game going to be successful enough for me to invest my time/money in it? Why would I play this rather than existing games that me and my friends are already invested in?" My hypothesis: While Mara is a great game for a minority, it's not good enough for a majority, and between it and D2 there isn't enough income to support the current team size at Bungie. Personal preference: rather than betting on live service returns, I'd have preferred better D2 expansions/support and a Destiny 3 - I'd buy/play those.

It's interesting seeing people wonder if we'll have Super Hero or Broly re-done in the Super re-release. Ressurection F was skipped in the Manga, and they're re-doing that.

I can't believe I found a mod that is making me enjoy playing SA1, and the content I've put out of it is the most disliked content I've had in the 2+ years I've focused on daily YT.

@TheZmanShow As someone who has never played either, Colours has contributed absolutely fuck all. Sonic '06 has a much stronger voice in every sense. It's like how people always talk about Avatar. The most successful film to leave absolutely Xero impression, ya know? Like. This shit matters.

If I had a choose to play one game for the rest of my life: Sonic 06 or Sonic Colors, I’d choose 06. “At least colors functions” ya, so does cyanide, but I don’t wanna use it either.
