He uploaded a video with a completely diff narrative, where he lazily went through it, prior to anything you’re implying. It warrants criticism. Others pointed this out as well, in the videos comments.

@Tectone @Awk20000 I did watch the YT vid, he missed the glaring issue of when she said she wanted him to break up with the gf, still date her, as she laughed at the thought of them no longer dating, cause he lazily went through it. He had a diff narrative, before public sentiment swang.

@TonyLaneNV Why not back off, “let him go”, and then attempt to contain him some other way? Was shooting the only option? True, his gun was a threat to the police, but he was inside the car. The police could have temporarily backed off. To my mind this is poor training.

@michaeldcahill @TheVoiceMann I believe this means, most likely, when they started developing Henry, they realized they could use Kali, simply as a plot device. Unless I missed something, her powers solved no issue unless they wanted that spinoff or Modine had another scene in his contract hahahah

My take on Eleven’s fate in Stranger Things. SPOILERS. SPOILERS. READY? OK... Do I think she survived? No. Yes, the show offers an explanation for her potential survival by the way of her "sister". But how that explanation is delivered matters far more. It’s framed as a story. A story told by a teenage boy grieving the loss of (likely) his first love, and everything they went through together. In many ways, he’s grieving a part of himself too. Will asks, “How do we know it’s true?” And Mike answers, “We don’t. But I choose to believe it.” That line is the answer. He chooses to believe it because he has to. To let go. To move forward. And he tells it to all of them so they can let go too. The final image of Eleven standing on the cliff is close to the dream he once had for them, but not exact. Because he’s no longer a kid clinging to a fantasy. He’s grown now. Even his hope has matured. Eleven made the ultimate sacrifice. And I love it. That’s far more powerful than ever seeing her again. Leave it alone. Let the weight of it sit forever. And yes, of course the Duffer Brothers leave just enough room for interpretation in case they ever want that 20-year reunion. ;)

@michaeldcahill @TheVoiceMann So I can only surmise that like I originally said, as evidenced by the continuity errors that suggests they obviously wrote as they went along, they invented Kali for a sideshow and to have Brennan teased, maybe the actor had another scene in his contract. Dunno. 1 of 2

@michaeldcahill @TheVoiceMann after watching the clip in episode one, and episode 7, literally the only purpose I can find was to allow the actor Mathew Modine to play in a scene, through kalis powers, after the guy they almost kill tells them he’s alive. But that info wasn’t because of kalis powers.

@michaeldcahill @TheVoiceMann Im begrudgingly rewatching. For one, she is the first person to tell El to use bad memories to fuel her powers, in the same way Henry tells her in 4. As a way to juxtapose her using good memories and love as she later does. I think the guy that go find gives them important info

@ToploadedGaming @TheVoiceMann Yeah, but why did they give Kali that power way back in Season 2? I can’t remember what major problem that ability solved for the writers back then. I don’t know that it did, maybe you remember. Been a while for me.

@michaeldcahill @TheVoiceMann Tbh, I have never rewatched those. I honestly cannot stand the character, seasons 2&3. I feel like they had no mystery, so it failed, why season 4 was just as good as 1, even though there are issues, and why season 5 was meh. 5 coulda been 2 episodes in season 4.

I feel like it was planned for a while. It’s been a while but I can’t think of any solid reason to write in a character in season 2 that has a unique ability that no one else has.. a total mold breaker.. other than them using it the way they did for the finale. I don’t remember a scene where her ability was a total game-changer, couldn’t do it any other way kind of situation. That’s a huge plot device to write in that sticks out like a sore thumb. I remember seeing that thinking “what problem are you guys solving with this?”.

@michaeldcahill @TheVoiceMann What if we show El killing all the military, & then erasing the files on the entire project. No, too much info has spread. She’d have to kill so many witnesses. Got anyone to erase their memories? No. I got it, kali, & we can use her powers. Literally that’s how it happened lol.

@ToploadedGaming @TheVoiceMann Yeah as soon as I saw Kali use her effect when they escaped on the first Christmas episode I knew how they’d end it. No other reason for her to be there and remind viewers of her special talent. Any writer def saw that coming.

Plot device, and writers, even poor ones saw it coming miles away. She sacrificed her loved ones. It’s the same thing.

@TheVoiceMann Will never change the fact that her nose didn’t bleed when she entered Mike’s mind from the gate. Kali’s death was an illusion to Hopper, and El in the gate was an illusion by Kali to the rest of them. El’s nose not bleeding is all you need to see to know that wasn’t really her.

Literally, the only reason to bring Kali back was to use her powers as a plot device. That is the why to kali being back. Simply put, context clues, & logic say shes alive.

Writers saw this all miles away, even poor writers. The only thing that is ambiguous is whether she made it to waterfall village and is happy. But she IS alive. Simple

that ending wasn’t as ambiguous as it seems—mike was absolutely right. el would not have been able to do this and use her powers because of the kryptonite. she did survive, and make it to her waterfalls.

@BigQua8 @tbmheartstrings @milevencraze Then we see mike and El in the mind, however, the illusion of El at the gate never had a bloody nose, so we know someone else was linking their minds, Kali, she even tells mike one day he will understand, which could also mean the speaker thing could have been El reaching Mike.
