The USA and Israel just bombed Iran, and we have to be alert because, you might not believe what Muslims did to Christians in northern Nigeria, when America bombed Afghanistan.
But I will tell you. So that no one will deceive you.
On Friday, October 12, 2001 in Kano.
Thousands of Muslims gathered after Friday prayers to denounce the U.S. bombing of Afghanistan, which had begun on October 7.
As at this time, if you ask 90% of Afghans where Nigeria is, they would not even know.
Soon the march escalated into violence against innocent, defenceless Christians, Christians who did not even know what was happening.
By Saturday, October 13, 2001: The violence intensified as normal everyday Muslims rampaged through the city, lynching Christians and burning their homes and businesses.
The Sabon Gari district, which is predominantly inhabited by Christians and non-Muslims, was among the worst-hit areas, bodies of massacred Christians; Men, women and children, lay everywhere,, some bludgeoned, some beheaded, some impaled and some burned to bones and ashes
Many Christians died without even knowing why they were being killed.
Many of them as they where repeatedly struck with dagger, stones and cutlasses kept asking " what have I done to you people"? "What have we done to you people"?
Note that the people who were doing this were not trained or professed terrorists, but normal Muslims, who just left the mosque on Friday, killing Christians for no reason, while shouting Allah Hu Akbar!!
Government officials reported initially that the death toll was approximately 18, but residents and witnesses reported seeing hundreds of bodies.
International news agencies and residents on the ground reported much higher figures, saying there were at least 200 deaths.
Some local sources, such as the Vanguard newspaper, reported the death toll rising to 122 shortly after the violence began.
Approximately 600 Christians were reported missing during or immediately after the four days of rioting.
It is important to note that till today, when terrorists kill Nigerians, the government tries to deny or lie about the casualties.
At least five churches were burned during the two days of massacre. Countless homes and businesses of Christians were destroyed.
Another group of casualties in this massacre, were Muslims who were from southwestern Nigeria. The Muslims of northern Nigeria did not consider them Muslim enough to be spared.
They massacred anyone who was not a Muslim from the north.
To restore order, the Nigerian government deployed hundreds of soldiers, imposed a night curfew (7:00 PM to 6:00 AM), and issued "shoot-on-sight" orders for anyone violating the decree.
Many Christians fled the city during this period, seeking safety in police stations and military barracks.
Some of them fled the north and never came back. Guess who took over their homes and businesses?
Now it is important to understand that this massacre was not carried out by Boko Haram or ISWAP or Fulani jihadists.
It was carried out by ordinary everyday Muslims. Many of them are here online with us.
Telling us how Islam is a religion of peace, and how Boko Haram are not Muslims because Islam does not encourage killing.
