@shonapapi It's cheaper to buy and is a real workhorse. Saw the NP300 durability delivering newspapers to Bulawayo daily, doing 5500km weekly

Why is that most Zimbabwe Companies prefer Nissan NP300 as a company car over the Toyota Hilux Bakie ?

I am watching @netflix series Hitlers' Circle of Evil. It's a rivetting docci, which I am sure inspired many politicians into dictators, psycophants and outright morally-reprehensible beings.

@matigary No Hitch-hiking...and to your point, @cohsunshinecity does not enforce bylaws to have trenches, holes etc properly backfilled. Telcos in Zim are guilty of shoddy workmanship after digging trenches across roads. Who cares .Council are also guilty of leaving their holes uncovered.

Someone installed this sign right in front of the national art gallery today. S/he didn’t bother to clear up the pavement after digging it up and backfilling the hole. Anyway what does that sign mean? Has anyone seen it in the highway code?

Thank you Mukoma. I will try reach out to Poly. I don’t really have a contact there. But beyond that I could help them generally. Sony, Panasonic and Canon all help universities and colleges all the time. At BU Sony used to actually come. At NTU Panasonic would. They definitely do give schools equipment and also come for guest training and tutorials.

Someone suggested I giveaway some of my old Canon cameras. It’s a great idea. But wondering what criteria I could use? If I just say straight giveaway everyone will want a free camera. Some to resell cause people aren’t always sincere. What’s a great way to go about this? 🧐

The ZRP has noted with concern false information circulating on social media on tourists’ vehicles movement and the use of roof top tents or roof racks. The ZRP makes it categorically clear that no tourists’ vehicles are being impounded in Zimbabwe for using rooftop tents or roof racks. The false information is dismissed with contempt it deserves. For the record, any tourist who need clarity should feel free to contact any nearest Police Station or National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703631 or WhatsApp on 0712 800197. The ZRP has also engaged Zimbabwe Tourism Authority over these false messages.

Toyota Hilux is gone; it's now competing with Mahindra. So far, the game is with the Ford Ranger and Isuzu.

@nickmangwana Dear PS. This is very revealing. It is happening everywhere. The gravel road that links Murewa and Macheke has been ripped apart by 30-tonners transporting black granite from UMP and Motoko to Mozambique. Who suffers? The community

🚨 URGENT: OUR NEW ROADS ARE UNDER SIEGE! 🚨 The recently commissioned Shurugwi-Mhandamabwe Road, a vital infrastructure project personally opened by His Excellency President Mnangagwa, is already showing alarming signs of distress. Built with a 20-year lifespan, this critical link is now undergoing premature repairs. Why? The primary culprit is clear: Overloaded Trucks. The very heavy-duty vehicles that benefit most from this smooth, paved connectivity are irresponsibly breaking it down. The weight limits are there for a reason—to protect our national assets. As highlighted by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Hon. Felix Mhona, this is a profound issue of responsibility. The major beneficiaries of these multi-million dollar investments are, through overloading, becoming the agents of their rapid destruction. This isn't just about potholes. It’s not about poor workmanship. It's about: ✅ Squandered National Resources: Millions in public funds are being eroded faster than planned. ✅ Compromised Safety: Damaged roads pose serious risks to all motorists. ✅ Economic Setback: Premature repairs divert funds from other needed developments. We call upon all transport operators, mining companies, and regulators to PLAY YOUR PART! Compliance with load limits is not optional—it's a patriotic duty to protect our infrastructure. Let's safeguard our investments. Report overloading. Enforce the laws. Protect our roads. #ProtectOurInfrastructure #ShurugwiMhandamabweRoad #NoToOverloading #Vision2030 #SecondRepublic
