To be honest the fetishization of helping migrants when my family and I continue to fall through the cracks is making me consider seeking orthodoxy despite being confirmed Catholic. It doesn't seem like they let that happen there.

Yeah maybe Genesis 1-4 at best, but then you have to make it highly allegorical to be relevant scientifically.
And yeah most of the Bible is barely divinely inspired imo. If the Bible passes as God-Breathed there is no argument for most religious texts not being so.

Nietzsche is completely irrelevant in criticizing Capeshitianity when you can simply open the bible and get bored reading Genesis. It is genuinely one of the most boring texts ever written only justified by neat little Psalms that may as well be disposable fortune cookie quips.

If Roman Catholicism were true, then it seems obvious to submit to Vatican II and the general libby pastoral style and guidance of the recent Popes. Being a trad/latin-mass catholic seems rebellious and kind of copey about what's taught regarding the office of the Papacy

@pwhhjr @energeiologian I am aware of allegorical interpretations of the Bible, it’s mainly that this method of exegesis to me makes every text potentially divinely inspired. Like I said, if the Bible is divinely inspired there is little argument for the other texts mentioned above not being.

@Sapientia400 1) It was not a lie, a lie is to say something you know to not be true. But I genuinely think that the definition of womanhood needs to be updated due to the findings of science.

@WisdomHasBuilt Because just as God communicates His being to the Son, it is communcated back to Him jus as powerfully. This is not a simple addition of the Son to His being, but a complete maximality all His own. Yet because all 3 are comaximal, no new essence need come into being.
