Charlie was not a Catholic. I'm Catholic, many figures at Turning Point are Catholic, he was friends with countless Catholics, all of us would have appreciated him becoming Catholic, but he wasn't. He was an openminded evangelical who appreciated the ritual and tradition of the church.
I can understand how people would misinterpret Charlie's text message there, but he really was just saying "this keeps people like me from converting."

Curious to know how people have convinced themselves that "criticizing Israel" is somehow dangerous when Israel is all they talk about ever, all the time, on every platform they have, and are getting rich by doing so. Do they actually believe this? Or is it that they never actually have spoken out about anything that was genuinely risky (say, for example, gender identity ideology... back when you would be banned from the internet and public life and also threatened with death) so don't understand what that experience is like?

Today, I decided to leave my church.
I can't sit through another political sermon where the phrase "White Supremacy" is used again and again, and I'm told I'm not doing enough for the LGBTQ+++ crowd.
I want a church that has more crucifixes than rainbow flags and whose bishop doesn't send videos to play about how he protests at whatever the church's politics-du-jour is.
And thus, I am no longer a member of the United Methodist Church.

Well, we’ve all heard Candace several times admit she can get fired up and say some things and then have to talk to her priest about it. It’s an actual running joke and she even went as far as to make some merch that says “I told my priest I would chill. These “holier than thou” TPUSA chics, on the other hand, pretend to be these wholesome trads, but the reality is much different.
