Internships can be life changing. I started with an internship where I ended up working full time for a year 6 months. Internship will show you what real life jobs look like. Internship will expose your weaknesses and if you are smart enough you’ll turn them to your strengths. Internship is good but please be careful Don’t fall for internship scams And every internship should pay you monthly stipend Except they are teaching you from SCRATCH. End.

But as a Software Engineering student who’s been working in tech since my 100 level, I knew that wasn’t true. And when SIWES started approaching, and everyone was panicking about placements, I created a small accountability group for my coursemates to share the exact methods I’ve used to get jobs WITHOUT “connections.” A few months later: 20% of the people in the group have secured placements in tech firms! ✨ And after pitching to 50+ companies myself, I’m currently an intern at Flux Logistix, Lagos! It was A LOT carrying everyone along, but it also helped me grow as a person. 🤎
