CyBlack 2026 conference is currently cooking. It promises to be bigger and better this year. If you’re a Cybersecurity/Tech professional/enthusiast in the UK. Don’t miss it 💪

Cybersecurity challenges are evolving faster than ever and no single organisation, sector, or nation can solve them alone. That’s why the theme for this year's conference; “Solving Tomorrow’s Cyber Challenges — Together” is very important.

Most organizations have their GRC policies scattered across random folders and internal wikis with no central home making it hard to stay compliant when you’re hunting for documents. & Even worse, leadership usually lacks a real time view of risk or security activities across their teams. The fix is moving away from spreadsheets and into a unified GRC platform. Centralizing your policies and automating risk tracking gives you one source of truth and total visibility in one dashboard 🧵 @CybarikGlobal @Cyblackorg

How to Stand Out in Cybersecurity 👇🏾 Cybersecurity has a well-known talent gap, yet many people still struggle to secure interviews and opportunities. The issue is often not a lack of skill, but a lack of positioning. Hiring managers are trying to answer one question quickly: What value can you bring? 1. Define Your Lane Avoid trying to do everything at once. Cybersecurity is broad, so choose a clear path. Align your projects, certifications, and online presence with that direction so your profile tells a consistent story. 2. Build Evidence, Not Just Certifications Certifications are useful, but they are not enough on their own. Demonstrate your skills through practical work: Build home labs Participate in CTFs Write policies Conduct risk assessments Create projects and publish technical write-ups Certifications are valuable, but they need to be backed by proof. Well-documented projects that show how you apply your skills make a stronger impact than a long list of tools alone. 3. Make Your CV Relevant Your CV’s goal is to secure an interview, so focus on clarity and relevance. Avoid generic tool lists and vague statements. Use clear, results-focused points and tailor your CV to each role. 4. Build Visibility Opportunities in Cybersecurity sometimes come through visibility and community. Stay active on professional platforms, attend events, and engage in relevant forums. Consistently sharing what you learn helps others recognise your expertise and builds credibility over time. 5. Approach Interviews Professionally Treat interviews as two-way conversations. Communicate your thought process clearly during technical discussions, ask insightful questions, and research about the company and role. Final Thought If you focus on building your skills and presenting them clearly, you significantly improve your chances of standing out in this competitive field. All the best ✨
