Previews for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book are out and they are largely positive. Many previewers were surprised how much they liked it. It's not a traditional platformer, it's very exploratory and kind of like a 2D sandbox. There is no damage.

@LETSAGO64 It’s the Super Mario Bros. 2 of the 3D Marios. It’s not a bad game by any means, just quite experimental and not really n keeping with the quality of the rest of the series.

@ZeroJones2 @The__Goomba My mum had a similar reaction when shinies were introduced to Pokemon GO. We were playing when she asked me 'why is my Magikarp a funny colour?' Luckily she caught it anyway!

I played every Gen for like 500 hours each and didn’t get my first random shiny till Gen 6.
I’m less surprised.

Don't get me wrong, Xenoblade Chronicles is definitely better, but these two aren't nothing.

I still find it hilarious Monolith Soft made one of the greatest games of all time and NoA was like nah until NoE did all the heavy lifting.
