@dqveed Unique pieces for every model set, licensing fees for existing IPs, shipping since there aren't many plants around the world that produce LEGO, quality control because every piece is manufactured within micrometers of precision... Mass production doesn't offset these much.

I put together this video comparing Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap (Sega Master System) with Dragon's Curse (NEC TurboGrafx 16). Have you played either of these? Do you prefer one over the other?

@ColonelFalcon I do know Wonder Boy III, and I think it's the best game on the Master System, but could I be wrong? I'm not as familiar with this particular console as I feel I should be (since I lived in those times), so I'd love to hear if there are better games or even comparable ones!

@exQUIZitely I'm one of the few that thinks it's an interesting way to end a game? I like supernatural stuff in pirate adventures. *SPOILERS* ...though overused since? The Cave, Thimbleweed Park, and Return To Monkey Island all have mindf*ck endings, which seem to be Ron Gilbert's thing.

I think the ending of Monkey Island 2 has been one of the most controversial ever in gaming. If you haven't played it yet, don't read further - also, dude!? I loved the original Monkey Island and felt the same about the sequel, until the very end. Rarely, if ever, have I felt so deflated after finishing a game. To this day, I don't understand the motivation behind coming up with that ending. I'll take an educated guess and say the vast majority of players were disappointed by it (to say the least). Why make it all a dream? What would have been the downside of not turning it into a dream? As much as I admire LucasArts, there will forever be two things that I wonder about and that still bug me: 1⃣ The ending of Monkey Island 2 2⃣ Not having turned Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis into a movie

Would be interesting to use a Google genAI model personified in-game when you need help and you're stuck, but it gives you misinformation and you remain stuck anyway because it's a Google genAI model.
