After landing 6-foot-7 international big Alicia Tournebize and No. 5 overall prospect Jerzy Robinson, it’s hard to argue against South Carolina sitting at the top of the 2026 recruiting class. Tournebize is part of the 2026 group but will get to Columbia early, enrolling this spring, and she’s already shown what she can be on the international stage. At the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket, she averaged (12.1) points, (8.9) rebounds, and (1.9) blocks in just 19 minutes a night for France. She’s comfortable finishing around the rim, can step out and knock down jumpers, and yes—she’s even dunked in a game. If she were playing high school ball in the U.S., she’d be a no-doubt five-star. And we’ve seen this movie before at South Carolina. Big posts under Dawn Staley—Alaina Coates, Aliyah Boston, Kamilla Cardoso—have all been central to title runs. Tournebize fits right into that lineage. Then you add Jerzy Robinson, a 6-2 guard with real scoring juice and size on the perimeter. She chose the Gamecocks over LSU and UConn, which tells you plenty. Seeing her share the floor with Joyce Edwards over the next couple seasons is going to be must-watch. And it doesn’t stop there. Kaelin Wynn (No. 17 in 2026) and Kelsi Andrews (No. 18) give South Carolina two more five-stars to round out the class. Top to bottom, it’s a group built to keep the Gamecocks exactly where they’ve been—right in the national title conversation. ✨
