Also watch him push off Rosberg in COTA ‘15, Canada ‘16 or Japan ‘23 on George to realize he’s the same.

@peraltappen I think its generally the champion's mindset. Schumacher, Verstappen, Senna. But imo that makes it even more impressive that Lewis is generally considered a very clean racer despite being on (and above) their level.

The thing about drivers like Max or Schumacher is that they know how to race clean wheel to wheel BUT that itch to win is so out of control in their heads that they’ll do anything and everything to get that win. You either admire that trait or absolutely hate it

girl don’t even try 😭 the “lewis never benefited from team orders” take falls apart instantly. 2016: rosberg given team orders (monaco). the year he was going for the WDC 2017: bottas ordered aside (bahrain, austria, Hungary). 2018–21: bottas told to yield multiple times was even asked to abort fastest lap attempt 😭😭 radios exist. results exist. this isn’t opinion. and yes..rosberg did call lewis’s driving dangerous, and bottas has spoken about the pressure… lewis has literally been on video disrespectful about teammates.. “i don’t care about them,” “i’m obviously better,” “i’m the worst teammate to have.” which is fine, honestly. elite athletes have egos. but let’s not rewrite history and pretend he was some spotless saint until the image rebrand kicked in around the me too / blm era on twitter.

@SimonSaysJ15 @CxmeronCc @osotrava No, it was Max not liking his car behavior at all. He had so much understeer that he was slower than Checo. He knew something wasn’t right. He changed the tools to his liking and the understeer went away. He could finally push to his limit and then you see the laptime difference.

@aReFeSt @CxmeronCc @osotrava If what you say was the case we’d see every driver from p2 down changing their settings and having large lap time variances lap by lap.

@SimonSaysJ15 @CxmeronCc @osotrava If you’d listened to what Max said after Baku you’d understand. He couldn’t understand the car and why he was slow. He used the race to change every tool on his steering wheel to get the car working for him. 5 laps from the end he found a solution and he was never beaten again.

@CxmeronCc @osotrava When you beat Max in two out of four races and in the fifth race you’re 0.7 off per lap from then onwards, something is not right.
