Timing is everything. When Eren and I moved to Florence we met two girls from the UK in our first Italian class. Maise and Rebekah. They were our very first friends, and even though they were only here for a few months, they've remained our friends for going on 2 years now, and they come back and visit us all the time. The trick is all getting together at the same time, because life is so busy. So, our BFF Brit friend Rebekah and Scottish friend Kirsty are coming to Florence for a week. They'll be here on 4/9. Last night, out of the blue, Maise texts me and is like, "Amy, I'll be in Florence for one day next Friday let's get together and have aperitivo." I look at my calendar and see that Friday is the 10th. Which means Bek will be here! So, I let Maise know, and then I told Bek (and Eren), and we're all rejoicing that we'll spend a day together in our favorite city! This pic of Maise is from the last time we were all together, in October (a couple days after George was dumped) we watched a footie game at a Scottish pub. There's George lurking in the background. Of course, he thinks Masie is so beautiful, because she is, inside and out, but last time she was here she had her dopey boyfriend with her. They've broken up. I'll let George know! ;)
