I wanted to say something before the final officially started.
It’s a little less than one hour before the match here. One hour before the most important match they will play this tournament.
One match to change everything.
I wanted to say a few things first, before the nervousness got to me. As I’m writing this, I’m getting a little emotional so mistakes may happen, but what matters is the sentiment.
I love this team. I love how they believe in every round. When they play a map and it isn’t good, it’s not the end. After Mirage they came back even more determined on Dust2. They got it wrong, they got it right, but most importantly… They never gave up. Not when they were behind, not when things got tough. All 5 of them were there, in the thick of it, trusting each other and believing in one another.
I believe in them. I believe they have what it takes to win. I believe they will win today. Not because their opponent isn’t good. Not because the final is easy, because it isn’t. I believe because they’ve shown me, through their never ending battle, how much they want this. How hungry they are for it. They are going to give their all, and i will believe every second of the way.
I won’t be updating after every map because i know myself, im going to be way too nervous. I wanted to say something now, and i will get back here once the match is over.
Ilya, Nikola, Maxim, René and Finn. Continue with this unwavering belief that you can do it, because you can. Trust each other, and play the CS you have been showing this whole tournament, especially in the playoffs.
I love them. I believe in them.
Let’s win this thing and get the trophy. 🏆
