I'm definitely not in the more quiet phase, but it certainly feels like you're making the right decision. Four kids is a big commitment, and I totally get the need to reset. The nice thing about gaming is that it will still be around in one form or another when you're ready to get back. I'll miss you're insightful content in the meantime though.

This is probably going to be a quieter year for me, and I’m finally okay with that... kinda... well maybe not but I am actively working on it I got into crypto (and especially crypto gaming) because I was genuinely excited about what people were building. Right now, I’m just… not feeling that spark. I’m still paying attention, still listening, still curious, but I’m not going to force myself to create content around things that don’t move me. I’ve learned the hard way that doing that only leads to burnout and resentment, not good work. So instead, I’m choosing to lean inward a bit. Theme #1: Honesty over output Goal: Only create when I’m actually excited or emotionally invested. If that excitement comes back to crypto gaming, amazing, superb. If it doesn’t right away, I’m letting that be okay. Instead, I want to return to writing for the sake of writing, for the fun of it. Short stories. Messy ideas. Letting myself explore again without worrying what form it takes or whether it’s “useful.” I also want to take my novel outline and finally turn it into a truly awful first draft. No polish. No pressure. Just getting it out of my head and onto the page. Weekly question: Am I creating because I’m curious, or because I feel like I should? Theme #2: Reclaiming my body Goal: Make my health non-negotiable, not an afterthought. After four kids, my body feels… tired in ways that aren’t just about sleep. Now that we’re done growing our family, I want to be intentional about getting back to myself and not chasing a number on a scale, but rebuilding strength, energy, and confidence. That looks like actually planning meals instead of surviving on chaos and nuggets, and getting back into the gym consistently. Hopefully eventually viewing it not as punishment, but as care. Weekly question: Did I do at least one thing this week that future-me will thank me for? If anyone else is in a “less noise, more depth” season, I see you. And I’d love to talk. Quiet doesn’t mean stagnant. Sometimes it just means roots. What theme are you carrying into this year?

On January 12 of this year, I set one major goal for myself: work hard in web3 so that I could be included as a full member of the WolvesDAO. Imagine the feeling of accomplishment I had when, a week ago, I saw I was accepted and brought in. Last night, I picked my SBT, and I feel it represents me well: steadfast and resilient (the earthy elements), resolute and calm (the demeanor), and of course, with a touch of steampunk to truly make it mine. Now I can finally retire the placeholder, because I've earned a spot among some of the most renowned people in the space and made some amazing friends along the way.

Confession time…. @paytkaleiwahea posted he had been gate keeping Space Jam from his wife. I had a lot of judgment. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I found out my wife hasn’t seen Home Alone. I am ashamed, but this will be remedied tonight.
