The day when Isaac Del Toro became a big rider… Don’t get me wrong, the Giro 2025 podium and the whole performance already put him in the big league. But we’ve seen many times that riders have one phenomenal Grand Tour performance and that’s all. But now at the UAE Tour, he really got to that elite. First time named officially as a sole leader for GC and even at the team’s home race where the sponsors and sheiks are not expecting anything other than an overall win. It may not look like it, but the pressure on him could be huge. And he dealt with it perfectly. Didn’t get overwhelmed by others attacking and paced himself on that extreme climb that didn’t suit him. And today on a climb that suited him, he attacked and confirmed what a big rider he has become.
