Microsoft in the 90s was wild by comparison. You could have an idea at breakfast and check the demo feature in by supper. Sure, we had long stabilization lockdowns periodically, but that just kept you out of the main tree. Then when the floodgates reopened... swim! Nobody sat around waiting for someone else to tell them it was OK, you just did it. Sure, we made some messes, but we also got a lot of stuff done :-)
