@markowetzlab @paulpharoah This seems backwards to me. Given that the first author generally did most of the work, are you genuinely proposing that it would be preferable if the credit (name recognition) went to the last author instead?

@BrentRichards19 Note that we have to traverse 9 steps to get from the gene to the phenotype. But by relying on the rich history of biochemistry we can navigate this network with confidence.
