@chatgpt21 That’s weird but not surprising. I’m seeing more people “predicting” things in this way right now. Not specific to AI either.

🚨Holy sh!!t! Claud just made your phone a remote control for your AI worker!! He You may be thinking: how is this different than the computer use feature they already released? The computer use / chrome agent meant that you had to be sitting at your desk to operate it, unless you were running openclaw. - now you can just use Claude dispatch a direct competitor to open claw and works more seamlessly with Claude This new update completely untethers you. You can now text Claude from your phone while riding the train, and it will remotely take over your laptop sitting back at the office. It can open local software like PowerPoint, run code in your Mac's terminal, batch-edit files, and text the finished deliverables directly back to your mobile device. Unironically I was just having a conversation at the same time this video dropped where I had said “when we can use agents on our phone that would be a game changer” and then I was sent this video in thee same minute.. You are no longer bottlenecked by having to physically sit at your desk to execute heavy tasks, run localized workflows, or access local files. You can just deploy an autonomous agent from your pocket to do the heavy lifting for you.
Claude@claudeai

You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks. It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheets—anything you'd do sitting at your desk. Research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, macOS only.

@RileyRalmuto No dude, what? I was talking to a family member about someone’s plumbing business where they should probably get ready to consider robotic coworkers in the near future. Like, right when you posted this. Just saw your post though.

- show me a robot fix a frayed thread before threading through needle - show me one replace the worse nuts in a j-box above a cabinet in a 50 year old kitchen - show me one run 200-amp service to a renovated cottage style home in Cleveland or something, rewiring all existing conduit, preserving switches and 2-gang outlets, etc. - show me one re-tile an existing floor including demolition. with real mortar, real grout, real porcelain tile - show me one replace a p-trap. any p-trap. you pick. plumbers and electricians are safe. for now. for a while.

People are slowly beginning to understand the profound changes models like Claude are bringing to their lives. And they're shocked. We'll be seeing many more clips like this.
Riley Coyote@RileyRalmuto

slowly but surely, this is going to be the experience and expressed sentiment of virtually every human being with a shred of ambition. and they’ll all start waking up and we’re all going to be watching with popcorn. we’re still so early, chat. somehow.

I really never talk about UFO or UAP stuff, except yesterday apparently. Why did this show up in my email this morning? Man made tic tac you say? Couldn’t be!

bind@bind_lux

@RileyRalmuto I want to assume they have full situational awareness, but maybe this one didn't. And if it didn't, then it leads me further to think more of these are terrestrial than we believe. I mean, I think the tictac is ours.

I’ve been thinking about something a lot lately - and it might come across as cringe: building a platform where thousands of people listen to the words you speak makes you feel connected to the cosmos in a way nothing else ever could, for me. It’s made me feel like I really exist. like I really really exist. and as if something about that existence matters. like when I think, and then speak, someone hears me. it’s hard to articulate, it it’s so incredibly special. I used to feel very invisible. and I liked that. there’s a special kind of quiet that comes with moving through the world invisibly. sometimes I miss it. but there’s truly something to be said for being connected to a real community of real humans that really recognize you, listen to you, share their ideas with you, and commune with you. and I love it so much. I take it for granted every day. but I truly am more thankful for it than I am of most other things in my life. because I wouldn’t have the life I have without most of your nerds. which, that isn’t to say I have any kind of special life. it’s not. I live in the woods with two dogs and a bunch of computers. but the fact that I have a life at all is enough to celebrate. I love every single one of you. <3

the absolute best thing you can do is just post it. I swear the moment I stopped giving a fuck if I looked cool, or sounded smart, or said things that reflected my intelligence, everything changed. The reality is that authentic thought is authentic because others think it too. which sounds kind of backwards. but the reality, internally attuned thoughts you have are the first ones. not the ones you iterate and reword and whatnot. the original thoughts seem to come from somewhere else. collective consciousness, or whatever you’d like to call it. my point being, 1) just do it. fuck the cringe fear and second guessing and 2) I guarantee you others feel and think the same things as you, and the most you post those things, the kore likely you are to connect with those people. just my two cents <3

Playing around with Draw Things AI on macOS and the default prompt it set for a my new project starts with: "beautiful portrait of a female anthropomorphic lion fursona wearing Jedi robes." They're just asking for us to troll the Anti-AI artists with this one.

My AI "WTF" moment that proved to me how insanely valuable these tools are. A while ago, my apartment complex tried to stick me with a nearly $800 bogus move-out charge. An amount most people are too tired to fight during the chaos of moving. The complex retains a huge law firm that represents landlords of large properties too. I used an AI stack (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, & Claude - each with their own take, so that I didn't miss anything) to research tenant rights, similar relevant public cases the law firm had lost, and RCW codes. I used messaging written by the AI, with minor tweaks for personal cadence, to draft my defense and denial of the charges. I won. They pushed back for a few weeks, but I was relentless, professional, and polite. Eventually, they caved and dropped the bogus charge. I didn't need a lawyer. (Not saying you shouldn't hire a lawyer for a more complicated case, but I knew I had this in the bag for various reasons). And since I already pay for my AI subscriptions, the whole thing "cost" me absolutely nothing but a few hours of my time spread out over those weeks.

@bind_lux @RileyRalmuto I think she's learning, like I did last year, that ChatGPT is garbage. Her story is so reminiscent of my own holy shit moment trying to build websites for my students' learning purposes.
