AI flippening isn't when AI takes your job it's when agents start hiring humans to bypass anti-AI CAPTCHAs we didn't lose our jobs... we became the CAPTCHA monkeys.

1,043 strangers walked into dinner… and left with new friends. That’s what the Greenville Dinner Club has done in just 7 months — powered by DNNR. Some wild stats 👇 ✳︎ 173 tables of 6 booked ✳︎ 1,043 seats sold ✳︎ 3+ tables across 12+ restaurants ✳︎ A city that now expects dinner club every month Here’s how it works: 📣 Courtney & Dani set the date + neighborhood ✏️ Guests take a quick personality quiz (diet, budget) and book a seat 👯‍♀️ We match the tables, handle reservations, and send groups of 6 out to meet 🍽️ GVL Dinner club takes over downtown Greenville 🍸 Then every table converges for a city-wide after-party This is what happens when community is treated like a product — not a group chat. Huge thanks to Dani Mathews and Courtney Fillner for trusting us with their people (and for being elite design partners 🖤). 💬 Curious what this could look like in your city? Drop a comment and I'll DM you — happy to share how people are launching their own branded dinner clubs.

Agency > Intelligence I had this intuitively wrong for decades, I think due to a pervasive cultural veneration of intelligence, various entertainment/media, obsession with IQ etc. Agency is significantly more powerful and significantly more scarce. Are you hiring for agency? Are we educating for agency? Are you acting as if you had 10X agency? Grok explanation is ~close: “Agency, as a personality trait, refers to an individual's capacity to take initiative, make decisions, and exert control over their actions and environment. It’s about being proactive rather than reactive—someone with high agency doesn’t just let life happen to them; they shape it. Think of it as a blend of self-efficacy, determination, and a sense of ownership over one’s path. People with strong agency tend to set goals and pursue them with confidence, even in the face of obstacles. They’re the type to say, “I’ll figure it out,” and then actually do it. On the flip side, someone low in agency might feel more like a passenger in their own life, waiting for external forces—like luck, other people, or circumstances—to dictate what happens next. It’s not quite the same as assertiveness or ambition, though it can overlap. Agency is quieter, more internal—it’s the belief that you *can* act, paired with the will to follow through. Psychologists often tie it to concepts like locus of control: high-agency folks lean toward an internal locus, feeling they steer their fate, while low-agency folks might lean external, seeing life as something that happens *to* them.”

Intelligence is on tap now so agency is even more important

One of our first dinner club customers. Had 4,500 instagram followers in a small New England town when they announced their first dinner club in July. Has earned $5k+ so far. Dark green is returning dinner club members. We orchestrate everything (group matching, restaurant sourcing, reservations, comms) — they just announce. People love making new friends. Restaurants love midweek bookings. Creators earn money. Who here wants to send their audience out to dinner?

Going from inbox to IRL -> The first Catskill Crew dinner club was a massive success. Over 100 subscribers came out. Friendships were made. Group chats were spun up. New ideas for my business were shared. 10/10. Shoutout to @raechellambert for helping put it all together.

The big $$$ is obviously in ai. But...for those who want to start a business and: 1. don't love the idea of dedicating your life to ai 2. it isn't in your skillet I think we're going to experience a HUGE wave of customers wanting IRL and analogue products/services.

I got back from honeymoon last summer and handed in my resignation at DeepMind. My wife thought I was crazy. AI has always been about prediction, but normally we predict small things: a token of text, or moves in chess. The ultimate challenge is to predict the world’s most important events. We recently went up against some of the world’s top forecasters, and came much closer to beating them than any AI system before. We're used to seeing crazy results from the AI community, but I think this one is special: 1. Accurately forecasting global issues is extremely difficult. 2. You can’t memorize the answer: it hasn't happened yet. 3. It was considered very unlikely for an AI system to do as well as Mantic did (5-10% chance). 4. Superhuman forecasting has the potential for transformative impact across the economy. She still thinks I’m crazy, but less so every day😛

Pavel Durov, Telegram founder, is a straight savage, highly recommend listening to the new Lex Fridman podcast with him if you want to do anything great, I’m convinced these types were the guys conquering and building empires back in the day, times have changed, so today that manifests differently, but we can listen to all of their thoughts while they’re doing it, insane if you ask me

🇪🇺🚨 HUGE NEWS: #ChatControl vote reportedly to be postponed (unconfirmed)! 🎉 Our protests are working! x.com/SeppTyvaert/st… But it's just a delay. Many governments are still undecided. ⏰ Tell YOURS to join the resistance and vote NO for good! fightchatcontrol.eu 🔐💪
