@Yo_Walt @thedawgspodcast Okay. My only point is give me the guy who has shown elite upside over the guy who has never showed it. And if he did he would be a MASSIVE outlier.
English

@bradwill24 @thedawgspodcast Watson has never outplayed Sanders in a Browns jersey statistically…but sure he was “bad”
English

The Browns traded 3 first-round picks for Deshaun Watson and paid him $230M guaranteed. He’s a former first-round pick and 3x Pro Bowler heading into his ninth NFL season.
The fact that there’s a competition and he’s not QB1 by default over a second-year fifth-rounder tells you everything you need to know.

English

@LilReeseWontDie @GalacticCactus7 @FBallAnalysisYT Elite defense. Offense was awful last year but they’re stacking great drafts. If they can get anywhere near league average qb play this team could be solid.
English

@bradwill24 @GalacticCactus7 @FBallAnalysisYT ok now i genuinely can't tell if you're being serious, if this is a troll good job honestly, if not watch more ball 😭
English

@JMoney76487344 @thedawgspodcast Definitely not. My only argument is that I like his odds of getting back to where he’s already been more than shedeur magically getting there for the first time.
English

@bradwill24 @thedawgspodcast Because the last time that happened was 6 years ago in 2020. You just going to ignore all the seasons that happened in the meantime?
English

@AidanKephart Sure, if you ignore the 4 seasons he’s had of borderline MVP level play!
English

I understand being the last year of his contract you want to try to get some value. but what happens if he is decent? You going to give him another $100-200 mil?

How Deshaun Watson emerged from voluntary minicamp with an edge over Shedeur Sanders, sources say, and has the inside track to be named QB1: -----> cleveland.com/browns/2026/04…
English

Here we go again. Who in the Browns building has an agenda against him, exactly.
Maybe he’s just not impressing anyone. Could just be that simple.
Robert Griffin III@RGIII
Some people want anyone but Sheduer Sanders to be the starting QB in Cleveland. Makes zero sense. Let the young man compete and put the agendas against him and his family away.
English

Shedeur Sanders was statistically, factually better in his last 7 games than Deshaun Watson was in his last 7 games.
Deshaun Watson
2024 (7th NFL season):
🔴 7 games (1-6 record)
🔴 1,148 yards
🔴 164.0 YPG
🔴 5 TD
🟢 3 INT
🔴 33 sacks (4.7 per game)
🔴 148 rush yards (1 TD)
🔴 6.3 yards per scramble
Shedeur Sanders
2025 (1st NFL season):
🟢 7 games (3-4 record)
🟢 1,400 yards
🟢 175.0 YPG
🟢 7 TD
🔴 10 INT
🟢 23 sacks (3.3 per game)
🟢 169 rush yards (1 TD)
🟢 9.3 yards per scramble

English

@CWest2K19 @GalacticCactus7 @FBallAnalysisYT 100% right.
The bet is who has a better chance of turning in elite qb play. The former elite+ qb who has been hurt, and made a huge off field mistake that impacted him, being back to his old level. Or the late round qb who wasn’t very good as a rookie somehow becoming elite.
English

@bradwill24 @GalacticCactus7 @FBallAnalysisYT Watsons also had 2 Achilles tears and an arm injury that ended the last 2 seasons he’s played in, and he didn’t play last year at all either. On top of the year before all those injures he missed 11 games after missing the whole season the year before that.
English

@LockedInBake @thedawgspodcast Great point. And no doubt it was ugly.
My only point is that shedeur was also ugly. And if I had to bet on one of the two figuring it out in a brand new system, I’d pretty easily pick Watson.
English

@bradwill24 @thedawgspodcast Under normal circumstances I would 100% agree with you @bradwill24
But the fact is last time we seen Watson in ‘24 he was even worse than that bad rookie. 33 sacks in 7 games avg 14.8 points a game, 164YPG. Watson might just give you a better chance at a top 5 pick next year!!
English

@GuardyGuard440 @KenGriffeySr1 @FBallAnalysisYT He’s 30. You think all the talent he clearly has just dried up completely?
English

@blaqbond216 @thedawgspodcast No hate at all for shedeur.
That may be true. But if you take Watson away from the browns I’m not sure the remaining qbs wouldn’t be the worst in the league by a good margin.
English

@bradwill24 @thedawgspodcast It doesn't matter where you get drafted. Isn't Brock Purdy Mr irrelevant? You just hate Shedeur for some strange reason. No other team in the NFL would sign, play, or start Deshaun Watson. And let's be honest. The Browns would've already traded his ass if they could
English

@DukestheScoop Yeah he sucks and they gave him a chance last year anyways.
English

Under that rationale I can’t agree. Kirk cousins made a ton of money to back up Penix last year.
Geoff Schwartz@geoffschwartz
If Watson is healthy he's going to start. He's being paid to start.
English

@LilReeseWontDie @GalacticCactus7 @FBallAnalysisYT I’m not so sure the browns aren’t now a good organization…
English

@bradwill24 @GalacticCactus7 @FBallAnalysisYT those guys haven't torn their acl and then their achilles twice in 3 months. those guys also went to good organizations lol
English

@GgZappe @FBallAnalysisYT Not like Watson was. But yes, he could totally be washed up. I’ll even acknowledge that’s the most likely outcome. My only point is the upside of Watson is better than the upside of Shedeur.
English

@bradwill24 @FBallAnalysisYT 6 years ago. Watch the browns games. Hes awful. Kaepernick Was good at one point too
English

@KenGriffeySr1 @FBallAnalysisYT Totally possible. But the question of talent between the two is no question.
English

@bradwill24 @FBallAnalysisYT Sheduer last year was just as good as Watson ever was for the Browns and he was a rookie that got no reps. Watson is coming off two Achilles tears. If I were to bet, Watson will get hurt during training camp and miss the season.....again.
English

@GgZappe @FBallAnalysisYT Borderline generational. Who has a better shot at these numbers again?
The guy who has done it 4 times (including as a rookie) or the late round rookie who had a tough rookie year?

English

@bradwill24 @FBallAnalysisYT You have no clue how bad healthy Watson is right?
English

@KenGriffeySr1 @FBallAnalysisYT With all due respect, Shedeur is way less likely to be good than Deshaun.
English

@bradwill24 @FBallAnalysisYT They will compete for the division with Sheduer as QB. Their roster might be the best in the AFC North
