14-YR-OLD BOY FROM MADHYA PRADESH SEXUALLY ASSAULTED AT CHENNAI CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION DIES AFTER 5 MONTHS OF TREATMENT A 14-year-old boy from Madhya Pradesh, who was sexually assaulted by two unidentified men at Chennai Central Railway Station in Nov 2025, died at Govt Stanley Hospital on Sunday night after failing to respond to treatment. The boy was assaulted on Nov 27, 2025. Doctors informed the investigating officer, Govt Railway Police (GRP) Woman Sub-Inspector P Indravathi, that the cause of death was a urinary infection and severe injuries to his anus and mouth sustained during the assault. According to a written complaint filed by Ajay, 30, of the District Child Protection Unit in Chennai North, the unit received a distress call from the child helpline on Nov 27. Officials conducted an inquiry at Govt Stanley Hospital, where the boy was initially admitted. During the inquiry conducted with the assistance of a translator, the child disclosed that he came to a tea shop from Chennai Central Railway Station. Two unknown men forcefully took him to an empty train compartment parked at a railway platform, where they repeatedly sexually assaulted him. The boy sustained severe injuries to his mouth and anus, as well as an injury to his urinary system. A case was registered at the Chennai Central Railway Police Station under Sections 4 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have been searching for the two suspects involved in the assault. The boy was treated at Govt Stanley Hospital and later admitted to a govt orphanage home for boys in Royapuram. When he developed further complications, he was readmitted to Govt Stanley Hospital, where he died on Sunday night following a severe urinary infection. Following the boy's death, the GRP team investigating the case has altered the charges and is conducting further inquiry.
