@echobridge I may disagree with his conclusion but I think Del Toro makes compelling insights. Meaning and Art are tied. The viewing experience of Cameron's Avatar and The Shape of Water carry a very different meaning.

People have a complete misunderstanding of what using Ai is like.
It's not easy. It's painful and time consuming as well.
I've heard these same arguments when people started doing vector animation back in the early 2000s.
Nothing new here. Just the irrelevant complaining.

just wanted to keep this on record - today, mosaic (beta) launched, and i have been following @_adishj and mosaic's development for a long time now because few months ago, i was also trying to solve a similar problem in the video editing space. if you don't know: video editing (especially with agentic workflows) is one of the most difficult engg problems you can encounter given the sheer resource-intensive ops it has.
very happy to finally get my hands on the product, and it feels awesome. i can easily see mosaic's adoption only going up from here.
