@whiskeyjack86 I wish we kept our list exactly as is so we could continue the dynasty of finishing 14th. The overreaction on this is crazy. Both were going to play well at a new club, they weren’t playing like this for Melbourne and it’s a win win for all parties.

Honestly, I feel fine. Neither were going to be part of the next flag. Brand Trac wanted out and Oliver was an off field distraction we didn't need anymore. We bring more kids in the door before Tassie hits. Very comfortable with where it sits.

@DaniG88 I’m the same but the thing that really gets to me is clarry not even thanking the fans or any posts. I get the club pushed him out and he has every right to hate the club but we loved (still do) him and would love him to win a Brownlow and a norm.

I have so much resentment towards Trac yet little for Oliver. I think it comes down to Trac wanting all these ppl removed from the club which we did, yet we still couldn’t please the guy and he ended up leaving regardless. Last night was hard to watch, I turned it off at halftime

Remove the Clayton Oliver deal and Melbourne have had an A+ trade period. The Clayton Oliver deal included though…..no words. How we’ve handled the situation so poorly that this is where we’ve ended up is diabolical and needs to be studied.

@stone1_matthew @TheB00KWarren No they won’t be paying $700k but I also don’t think he was on the $1.4m contract oliver was on. Let’s say he was $900k a year then we need saints to be paying $200k of it to be the same salary overall.

@stone1_matthew @TheB00KWarren Yes but saints are paying for a portion of Steele so if the net result is the same contract and we have swapped oliver to Steele then it’s a win for player. The bigger issue is how we let the culture get to a stage where our star player fell off a cliff so badly
