@david_software @simas_ch @archtests @structure101 Not arguing about that 😁 But the way there was something like 6 layer architecture, ~100 different sub-domains + technical modules and the "grid" projected to Maven modules 🤷‍♂️ (that's only 600 modules, I know, but that's how it came along 😁)

@codecholeric @simas_ch @archtests @structure101 Having 700 modules feels like the wrong thing to do no matter what you use. There's no way this is maintainable.

I hate multi-module Maven projects

But AFAIK if you use the test infrastructure for integration tests it will spin up only the contexts for the module and it's dependencies. So, you'll at least see that the Spring contexts work like this on the test level.

@RalfDMueller @simas_ch @GerdAschemann I like the idea of using @springboot with a separate application context per module in order to isolate the modules as much as possible. Seems not to be a thing, but I'm not sure why. Maybe because it's not the standard way of using @springboot?
