I think this is trolling, but just in case… This was such a tiny transaction that it might as well be zero. It’s performative and completely inconsequential. In no way does this indicate any kind of failure. $2.5 million lol gtfo

Call me stupid but I find the strategy of averaging in over like 6 years and then selling below your average 6 years later Kind of retarded? Especially considering the fact BTC went up 10x from where he first started buying

sometimes i'm jealous of people who just don't care about money. like genuinely don't think about it. my buddy goes to work, comes home, coaches his kid's baseball team, watches tv. he's never once checked a crypto chart or calculated his net worth or stayed up until midnight researching. he's perfectly happy. maybe happier than me honestly. i can't turn my brain off. i'm always calculating. always optimizing. always thinking about the next move. it's made me wealthy but i'm not sure it's made me happier than the guy who just lives his life without keeping score. the irony of financial freedom is that the personality type that achieves it is usually the same personality type that can't enjoy it. you're too busy chasing the next number. i'm working on this. slowly. but i think some of you know exactly what i'm talking about.

Excuse me, @gainzy222 You posted that people could “full port ZEC right now,” hit a clean 10x, retire, and that there was nothing anyone could do about it. I took that seriously. I made a decision based on your conviction, your platform, and the confidence of that statement. Since the timestamp of your post, ZEC has only moved against that call. I am now sitting on losses I was not prepared for, and the retirement scenario you described has turned into the exact opposite. I understand markets carry risk, but when someone with influence frames a trade as this certain, people listen. I listened. So I’m asking directly: what should people who followed that advice do now? Are you standing by the call, walking it back, or offering any accountability for the people who trusted you?

You can literally full port zec right now, hit a clean 10x, retire, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it This asymmetric only opportunity exists because the majority of people in crypto and aware of zec have lost most of their funds on 10/10 and after What’s stopping you?

@NintendoAmerica Respectfully to people who love this game - it's pretty awful lol. It's shocking how poorly thought out it is, some of the worst game design Rare ever created. It doesn't even feel like a DK game, it feels like an insane messed up Banjo game with monkeys.

The only bull case for crypto is number go up, it will again one day and people will make money and then other people will chase that rabbit again. These "bull catalysts" were just narratives for number go up and nothing more. Don't be delusional, just sit on your hands and wait.
Algod@AlgodTrading

@MikeIppolito_ We already have gotten all the bull catalyst we hoped and dreamed for in the past decade(s) This is the big issue

The issue with bitcoin:native is that there is an extremely low upside for it at these prices. Even if it crashed to $40k, it will very likely only pump to $160k next bull market. Nice 300% profit. Except, there are plenty of those same opportunities in Trad-Fi now. So why buy BTC?

@DerekPederson3 You're right about interstellar travel but doubt that is the great filter. There's a pretty high chance we've already passed the great filter and that's why we don't see any signs of life.

Science fiction nerds are gonna hate me for saying this but the Great Filter is that interstellar travel is probably more or less impossible and there is no reason to come up with any other explanation for that.

This is so bad. First start-ups and now this. Treasury, Chalmers, Albo and the ALP wouldn't know if their arses were on fire when it comes to these CGT changes. Bin all the CGT changes and start again with just existing residential investment properties. afr.com/policy/tax-and…

The federal government’s refusal to lift income tax brackets in line with inflation means every dollar earned today above $190,000 is taxed at 47 per cent, instead of the top rate kicking in at more than $280,000. The top income tax threshold now sits at the lowest inflation-adjusted level in 20 years. It would be $281,450 by now if it had kept up with inflation since 2008-09, the last time high earners had their top income tax threshold substantially increased under changes initiated by the Howard government. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s former economic policy adviser Alex Sanchez said Labor’s decision in 2024 to increase the top $180,000 tax bracket to $190,000, instead of the $200,000 legislated by Liberal prime minister Scott Morrison under the stage 3 tax cuts, was a “terrible mistake”. afr.com/policy/economy…

I did not realise they were taxing gross rather than net gains… AFR: Investors with diversified share portfolios making a mix of gains and losses compared to inflation could face tax rates of more than 100 per cent on real gains, due to the Albanese government not compensating investors for underperforming stocks. A former senior Treasury tax official and a hedge fund manager both warned that people with a diversified portfolio of shares could face tax rates 50 per cent higher than Treasury calculated… Chalmers’ office and Treasury were contacted for comment on Thursday about whether real losses would be indexed to inflation. Under another example, an investor buys shares in Coles and Woolworths, with one outperforming inflation and the other underperforming inflation. The overall real return is zero after inflation, but the investor would pay tax on the winning stock. If an investor instead bought an ETF of supermarkets with the same overall result, they would pay no tax. afr.com/policy/tax-and…
