In 2011, a woman reported her Dodge Charger stolen at gunpoint. Bullock was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to 30-70 years in prison. He maintained his innocence the entire time. This year, another man already in prison for murder confessed to the crime. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Conviction Integrity Unit reviewed the case, and on May 28, 2025, all charges were dismissed.
