1/ Why is “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) an early threat to trillions of dollars of market cap - Visa (almost $500B), MasterCard ($350B), card issuing banks, acquiring banks/services (Fiserv, FIS, Global Payments, etc)?

@arampell BNPL is a layer that comes after the buying decision so how would it add value to the product manufacturer if they can't show their offer at the time of adding to cart?

@arampell Right - and marketing promotion needs to show the savings/value adds upfront like rewards, coupons and discounts do.

@arampell This still won't show increase in sales. For that to happen, this info needs to be shown before purchase decision to drive sales, not at the time of payment - by that time the decision to purchase is already done

6/ Let’s say Samsung wants to create an installment payment plan for their new $1000 phone (b/c lower pricing sells more stuff!). How do they do this at, say, Walmart and Target and Amazon? When everyone has a different kind of credit card and those issuers don’t see SKUs? BNPL!

@daprdev - Learnt about Dapr at Mark's talk with Sequoia-IN. Very excited to start using in the next project. But most of the bindings are in "Experimental" and many components are new. When do you think Dapr would be ready to be used in production!?
