I won the Corporate chess championship at Susan Namagale’s chess event in Malawi 🇲🇼 with a perfect score of 7/7. Donated my prize winnings to the Malawi chess for freedom project in prisons.

Yesterday I was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award (PhD) for the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. I also emerged the Overall Winner for the Outstanding PhD Award for the University of Texas at Dallas. 🥇🎉

chess changed my life. i’ve spent the last 3 years personally funding this because i know what this game can do for a girl who never thought she belonged at the board. we have girls across Africa training hard, getting good, really good. @chesscom has featured some of our work.
