~1 month ago we filmed a new project for @starter_story with @marclou we weren't 100% sure how it would turn out... new ideas and formats are always so hard to predict. But I'm SUPER proud of the outcome: the story and the style are awesome. (shoutout @editorartem srsly, best in the game) can't wait to bring you more stuff like this thanks for trusting us with this project, Marc 🤝 Go give it a watch!

editors who win get paid for their decisions, not time here's how to make editing scalable: input = time spent editing output = animations made outcome = viewer experience 10 animations made DOESN'T mean a better video stop creating stuff that doesn't matter

I started working with a new client recently. Someone who came in already frustrated. Every editor he'd worked with was the same story: needed constant hand-holding, taking weeks to deliver simple videos, and drowning in endless revisions. I delivered his video in 2 days, his only note was about the memes I used I told him why they were there, showed proof of it working for other clients, he saw it, and that was the end of that conversation. (my memes won haha🥳) Video went live the next day. Now he wants more. If you're tired of the same story, shoot me a DM 📩

For the past 4–5 months… I have been trying to make money through editing, and here’s how everything has been going. In the first month, I reached out to someone who was just starting their coaching business [it was about improving your communication]. We agreed on doing a one-month trial period and then $500/month afterward ( literally one month free ) I felt incredible and so excited because it was my first hope that this sh#t might actually work. I said YES. Then I worked for an entire month, and then they said, “We don’t want an editor now. We are doing more of a raw style.” MONTH 2: I found someone else and made around $200 for 20 reels. MONTH 3: I joined an agency in real estate and created reels for them at around $20/reel (left the last client because of my exams and too much work). Made around $300. MONTH 4–5: This is where some real stuff happened. I got inbound from someone who wanted Apple-style animation for around $150/video. Obviously, I said yes. And currently, I’m making around $400–$700/month. Now it’s time to reach $1K/month, and as we all know, there are only a few good creators who know this stuff well. So I have just joined the $1K in 30 challenge by @EditorArtem. $1K is coming soon! 🚀

I quit video editing while making $5,700/month. Here's why? as most of you know I went from zero to well over $5,000/month in less than 6 months as a video editor most people dream to make such income, me too but i quite, not because it wasnt good money but it had no future, let me explain freelancing is a Great way to make income from home but at the end of the day its just an online job Meaning that your still trading your time for money and that is not scalable it wasnt worth it for me, espcially long-term i much rather build an actual business and make some real money So I walked away to build something that could run without me i come across @theaymanarab on twitter generating 6 figurs a month at 21yo, i knew i had to start an agency too on the way i got side tracked and ended up coaching 200+ freelancers and helping them generate multiple 6 figures after a while I went all in on building a content agency It wasn't easy. Made some moves I'm not proud of. Had some ugly months But I'd rather struggle building something real than stay comfortable building nothing PS: Freelancing is a great start to make money online but it isnt a long-term plan unless ur happying make couple thousand a month.
