How unfortunate… Mr. Hari Singh sir, a true legend of Indian motorsport and closely associated with JK Tyre and Mercedes, has gone missing following a speedboat accident in the Maldives. It’s been over 22 hours since rescue operations began, and the Indian Navy along with Maldivian authorities are continuing the search. Thankfully, 6–7 people on board, including Mr. Gautam Singhania, have been rescued safely. Hari sir needs our prayers right now hoping for his safe return! 🙏🏻

Even if the Iran war stops tomorrow, things won’t magically go back to normal the next day. Fuel alone could take months, if not a year, to stabilise. Travel won’t resume instantly. And with oil prices rising, the cost of goods will inevitably go up. Yet while countries like Denmark are urging citizens to cut waste and prepare for economic strain, our government hasn’t asked anything of us. Instead, we see motorbike rides, campaign events, and spending on airfare and sea transport to move candidates back and forth to Male. We were once advised to switch to “garudhiya & bai” during peace times, yet apparently, a this global crisis isn’t serious enough for “Garudhiya & Bai” stage yet. The global economy will slow. Growth will shrink. Every one of us will feel it. If we prepare and things turn out fine, we lose nothing. 
But if we don’t prepare and things go sideways, many will struggle, BADLY. We’ve seen this before. During COVID, MDP MPs called “just a flu.” Majilis speaker told it wasn’t serious enough “Hun aiss rajaa laaka nuvey”. Minister promised floating hospitals. And how did that end!!!! My guess is Gov know how serious this is.
But with elections around the corner, they don’t want to show “weakness”. So they are pretend everything is fine… and hope the war ends and by some miracle everything resets in a week. Government after government repeats the same mistakes, plays the same poli-tricks and yet, we as citizens have not learned.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says there are delays in crude oil shipments due to the ongoing war in the Middle East. The President said two shipments of 90,000 MT of crude oil have been delayed despite long-term tenders being awarded. Meanwhile, another shipment by a private sector fuel distributor has also been delayed, he said. The President made these comments during an engagement with journalists in Colombo. He explained that these delays are likely to disrupt supply, stating that even a single delayed shipment could affect the fuel distribution network and prevent meeting targeted supply levels.
