24 December 2002. Singer-songwriter Jake Thackray died (aged 64). He featured in many TV variety shows in the 1970s, singing comedy songs in a strong Yorkshire accent. He was called the “North Country Noël Coward”. His story based songs influenced Morrissey and Jarvis Cocker.

Sadly my father passed away a few days ago.
Although he had been ill for a while, his death was still unexpected and a shock.
I will be taking some time to be with my family and will offline for a while.
